About Me

Becoming a doula started in 2013 with the birth of my first child. It was a traumatic experience where what I wanted didn’t matter. Shortly after, I started researching birth and nothing was the same. My future three births were each empowering in their own way and I am thrilled for any future births I may have. I have had a cesarean, a hospital vbac with an epidural, a free birth, and a free birth transfer to hospital (not an emergency) where I got the most hands off hospital birth possible. I first started attending a handful of friends births as a favor for a few years until I turned it into a business in 2019 after I attended training and became more serious about it. I have attended all kinds of births and I fully support whatever choices the mother makes, my goal is simply to help ensure that her choices are hers and she is being honored and not coerced in any way to make the choices. There are so many things I wish I knew before my first birth and I have made it my personal mission to share those things so other moms don’t have to experience the pain I did.
As I gained experience and knowledge I started adding other services to my business.
I created a comprehensive childbirth options class that is an in depth learning experience to your options for childbirth.
I started offering standalone prenatal visits and postpartum visits to support women the way they need.
I added peer lactation consults as I have breastfed for 8 years with a 16mo break.
I gained more knowledge about conception and cycle tracking and offer information for couples trying to conceive.
I offer general consultations about conception, pregnancy, birth, postpartum, breastfeeding, and parenting.
And finally I created my online store so I can create birthy designs and custom products.
